My door switch assembly went out on my Frigidaire Gallery front load washer. I got the new part today. I have it plugged in and lined back up in the slots. Problem is I can't the screws to go in. They want to go a bit sideways every time I put them in. I can easily turn them a few turns with a Phillips screwdriver and then they get stuck and won't turn anymore. Are they supposed to be that hard to turn? Can I use my drill on them? I wanted to ask before I force them in. I do not want tear the part up. I'm using the same screws that came out of the old part.

You should not be having any major problems like this. It is possible you received the wrong part, but I cannot tell you which part you should have without a model number.

If you will post a model number we can link you to the part. If you purchased from this site and the part is defective and does not work you can return it.
