Washer makes extremely loud grinding sound during agitator cycle. The washer is otherwise working ok.

Open the front panel by inserting a putty knife into the top groove in line with the lid opening on each side to release the clips. Tilt panel outward and lift from cabinet. Observe motor shaft and large pulley during agitate. This washer is on the list of washers that are prone to a sagging front apron bracket that may cause the pulley to hit the bottom of the washer.
If this is the problem, a service kit is available to make the repair.
