This washer will fill up with water then will not do anything, will not agitate, will not spin or pump water out .. The lid switch appears to be clicking when it is shut. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with it ? Thank you, Vince

Probably the lid switch. The clicking just means it's working mechanically, but you need to check it electrically with ohmmeter or jump the switch out to see if washer will work. You have the newer style switch. See this video for instructions on jumping the switch out. Eric

Thank you Eric yes it has the newer style switch.. i bypass like it said in the video and it still just fills up and will not do anything else

And advancing the timer manually to drain/spin does nothing either? You will need to make some voltage checks, do you have a multimeter? Could be timer, motor, wiring connections.
