I'm unstacking my front load washer & dryer. Threw the origianl washer top panel away when we stacked them 15 years ago. That part is no longer made (131509808), mfr. is substituting part # 134086842. Bought the new part, moved rear brackets back into original position. Cannot figure out how to "slide panel forward" and snap into brackets like everyone says. For one thing, the tangs on the brackets are bigger than the holes in the panel and for another, the holes and brackets don't seem to be configured to fit into one another.

That is the listed part number, so I am thinking maybe you were sent the wrong part. Check back with the supplier and see if you can confirm what you received was indeed the correct panel.
