Hello everyone,

I have tried searching for this but with no luck.

I have a kenmore 110 21882 washer that makes a strange noise when agitating and will not change agitation speeds. Agitation seems a little erratic. The agitation speed switch seems good, changed to very slow delicate and got correct behavior, with strange sound when agitating. The agitator dogs seem to work good; have some experience with these after replacing on another washer.

Everything else seems fine. Tub will fill correctly, draining, spinning, timer all seem ok.

I have successfully fixed the washer before when fill valve needed replacement.

Agitation speed is controlled by the timer and motor.

You should be able to pin point the noise well running the washer with the cabinet off.

But primarily by the speed select switch which can be problematic.
