Trouble with a Gear Case Seal Cover 3349985
Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Hi, I need to replace the gear case seal of my old Whirlpool direct drive washer. I ordered a new one but I am having trouble installing it. The questioning comes from the fact that I am not the one who dissembled it. I am not even sure which side it goes. I settled with the flat side going on top of the gear case. The problem is that I can't push it all the way in the hole. I put oil around, heated it up but it won't go all the way the top edge of the case hole. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it the way it is supposed to be? I just doesn't want to mess up. I include some pictures... Thanks
