Model Number: TAWB600PQ0 Brand: Estate Age: 5 - 10 years
My estate washer is about 7-8 yrs old and yesterday I was running a medium load through when it was about to start the spin cycle, it just sat there and made a loud grinding and wouldn't spin. I'd like to try and fix it because of the space that the washer has to fit though I just can't find a small enough replacement for it. I'm used to fixing computers though, not washers...

Sounds like the drive coupler between the motor and gearcase. You'll need to open the control panel and remove the washer cabinet. Then remove the drain pump from the motor and remove the motor.
