Washer- Tub is loose- Very loud when spinning
Model Number: WBSE312OB2WW Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
Everyone,
I own a GE Washer- Model No. WBSE312OB2WW. After loading too large of a load, the washer began to be extremely noisy. Now, it is noisy even on slow spins. It sounds like a helicopter in our laundry room. The tub seems a little too loose. I'm sure this is a simple fix, but having no experience in washers- or dryer for that matter- troubleshooting was complicated. Any help out there? Ads By Google Related Models

Remove the front panel and try to pinpoint the noise. Post the results.

Check for broken tub dampener straps at the top of the tub. This video will show you where they are and how to replace them but you can just feel for them directly under the top panel reaching over the top of the tub to feel if any of them are broken without taking anything apart. If they are ok, can you turn the basket by hand easily? You should not be able to. If that seems ok then take the front panel off and check the 4 suspension rods that the whole tub assembly is hanging from. If ok, run it in spin with the front panel off and try to figure out where the problem is.
