Model Number: FTF2140ES0 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
I have found a error code E41 on my washer. I have checked and found the continuity on J2 to be open. Is there a way to test the door switch to confirm this switch to be defective?

I have received and installed a new door switch. Now I am getting E56. The motor spins freely with no rough spots. I have measured 5.5-5.7 ohms on pins 1-2, 1-3 and 2-3 on the motor plug. Would I be correct to say I need to replace the motor speed control board? Is this the top control board(137005000) or the bottom control board(134743500)?

Sounds like it will be either the main control board or the motor control.
The reason I added the main control is that it will not run diagnostics and some of them do not involve the motor. Perhaps try disconnecting the motor control board and try running diagnostics again to see if it will get through some of them.

I did perform the tests without the motor board plugged in. I got longer runs on each of the different cycles in the test. I also received a different code after each cycle.(E59) I have tested the resistance between pins 4 and 5 on the motor at 117.9 ohms. I have a motor speed control board(134743500) on order.
