Model Number: lat8035aae Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
I'm leaking a small amount in the spin cycle, which just started. I removed the front of the machine to run a load and absurb. I looked everywhere I could from that vantage, and saw a small bit of water dripping down the large drain hose that feeds from the pump to the back top of the machine. I reached in to feel if the water was coming from the top end of the hose, but found it was being dripped on by the back right edge of the tub. I stopped and unplugged the cord to remove the top and tilt it back for a look at the rear of the tub. I believe it is coming from the air tube that attaches to the lower right rear side of the tub next to the bolt that attaches the spring mount. I can't absurb the leak while the top is on because the air tube can't be seen from that angle. I'm thinking it is either the air tube or the gasket grommets on that rear mount to the tub. I just don't want to stick my hand in there while it's running in spin?? Please help?

Thanks a bunch, your right about the tub. I found an inspection panel on the back that let me safely watch the rear while spin cycle began I saw the water was spirting from the syphon break at the top rear where the drain hose exits the machine. I ordered the part. Thanks!
