Model Number: Whirlpool LSV633AW0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Washer makes unusual noises and sometimes doesn't drain. Moved it and saw oil stain. Suspected Gearcase. Removed Gearcase and can see leak. This machine is 19 years old, Whirlpool LSV633AW0. I'm thinking I should replace clutch also. Which Gearcase & Clutch do I need?

If the motor will not run at some places in the dial setting, you probably have a timer that is going bad. You could pull the cover off to check for burnt contacts.
This cost and a new transmission will be over $300 plus shipping. Probably not worth fixing considering it's age.

The last time i tried to run it was empty with the least water it could use and it started making noises that it had never been making. A gnashing of gears kind of sound. My desk is in the next room and I know what every cycle sounds like.

Ok here, thanks for the concern, just a short power interuption. Can keep the house warm with the woodburner. Pity the people in West Virginia, plenty of downed trees loaded with wet snow.
If your tranny is dumping oil out the top, you have internal parts failing. If the only failure, may be worth it to fix.

Gearbox and clutch are in. But something is still wrong. Fills, washes and agitates, but no rinse or spin. It tries to spin, then stops and tries again. I hear clicking, like something in the clutch or brake shoe are off. Any ideas?

Pull pump and motor and turn the tranny coupler clockwise. If hard to turn when tranny enters spin, you either have a missing thrust washer on top of the tranny, jammed/bad brake shoes, or something jammed.
