I have an Epic Z stacked front loader. Have been using it for 2 years so it is not a new user issue. After the power button is pressed and any cycle is selected, when the start button is pressed, all the lights on the panel go out and the power to the unit is turned off.

Very likely the problem is a bad Central Control Unit (#6 at the diagram).
