tub unbalance alarm comes on and shuts washer off
Model Number: fav6800aww Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
My washer alarm tub unbalance comes on and shuts machine off even when there is no clothes in it. what causes tub to set this alarm off? The tub seems to move from side to side very easy. I guess you could say it wobbles.

Hi Billy,
Per the Maytag technical bulletin (attached to the post) sounds like the problem is a bad clutch. If you need the correct part number, post the serial number of the washer. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for Maytag FAV6800AWW Washer - AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.
