Hi.

According the diagram the two wires are Yellow/red and Orange.
The resistance of the closed switch (wires off) should be less than 1 ohm.
Remove the front panel and check the error code in the right upper corner of the motor (blinking LED). Count the blinks.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Suspension, Pump & Drive Components parts for GE WPRE6150H1WT - AppliancePartsPros.com

The lid switch on that model is a 4-wire double pole type. It has two switches, one for AC at the inverter and one for DC at the control panel. Unplug the connector behind the control panel. With the lid closed, you should have continuity between the orange and white/orange wires and between the red and white/red wires.

Hi.

According the diagram the two pairs are Yell/Red to Orange and Red/Black to Grey. With lid closed you should read continuity.

Those are the colors of the wires in the machine wiring harness, not the colors from the lid switch. The pigtail from the lid switch plugs into the wiring harness behind the control panel. You should unplug there and do the test on the plug (male pins) going to the switch (orange, red, wht/orn, wht/red).
