F28 Code on a Elite HE5T Washer
Model Number: 110.47087600 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
I am working on this washer that fills for a moment than after a few minutes F28 code showes up. Checked the all the connections on the boards with no results. I don't hear the drain pump at all. Trap is clean. Also Service Sheet is missing and I cant find anything on line. If I just replace both boards that's alot of $$. Any suggestions.

The "F28" error code means that the communication between the central control unit (CCU) and the motor control unit (MCU) cannot be send correctly.
Unfortunately the troubleshooting instructions provided by the manufacturer are not very clear. Per these instructions you have to check the wires and connections and, if there is nothing wrong, replace the CCU first and the MCU next, if the CCU would not fix it. - The CCU Part number: 8183251 - The MCU Part number: 8183196 Gene.
