washer wont drain or spin after replacing balancing ring
 

After replacing the balancing ring on a whirlpool roper washer model # roper RAX7245JQO, the washer will fill and washer but wont drain, spin, or rinse from that point on. From what I've read it sounds like the lid switch is not working properly..... I am not the one that replaced the balancing ring so not really sure of what happened so I wanted to get any opinions of things to look for before going over to friends house tomorrow to try and figure out what they did wrong.

raise the panel and see he plug the connection back up the one that the lid switch is attached to also check the lid switch
