Washer Repair

Hello,

I have a question about the operation of my Kemore 90 series Washer. I bought it used, and it appears to work perfectly. However, I would like to know if this situation is normal: When draining water, it does NOT spin. After the water is out of the machine, it pauses. Next, I clearly hear it engage the "spin" cycle. Is it normal for this machine to drain the water first, then run through a complete spin cycle?

...this is a direct-drive, Whirlpool-manufactured washer.

...well, I guess that I found my answer: a"Neutral Drain Transmission", Item Number: AP3096209, Manufacturer's Number: 3360629.

Can anyone tell me if I have reached a correct answer?
