hello all,

I'm reposting this cause i didn't give anough info on
my maytag washer.it is model LAT8506AAE and its
about fourteen years old(i know is old)but is built
like tank and didn't have any problems till three years
ago i changed the three dampening pads and it's still
there no problem.the new problem is a very high pitch
soud that comes on spin cycle only.

If any one has any info on this problem,could you
please respond.any info is appericiated.thanks.

Hi Walter,

Remove the front panel. Run the washer and try to pinpoint that noise. Post the results.

Hello gene,

thank you for your reply.i had taken the front panel afew times
already but can't exactley tell where the noise is coming from
but i am suspecting mostely from buttom,so could it be the
clutch bearing or radial bearing?

I also needed to know where can i get the spanner wrench
in case if i have to remove the tub off to get to tub bearing.
any info is appericiated.thanks

Sounds like the problem is a bad tub bearing. The seal should be replaced too. It comes with the instructions.

P.S. There is a small chance that there something else caused that noise - Washer leaks and terrible noise at spin cycle..
