Having problems with this washer. It fills with water, washes, timer advances to rinse, motor shuts off then starts again but sounds different. AMP meter shows it is drawing more amps than it just was during wash. Motor turns off, has tripped thermal motor protection. Motor cools, turns back on. Pump is good, coupler is good. Once motor has cooled I can put it anywhere on the timer and it will do what it is supposed to do at that point. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm running the washer on normal cycle, when I try to start the machine 1/2 way between wash and rinse it will only spin. I tried it on other cycles and the same thing happens. It looks like the casual cycle may be a shorter cycle so I tried it on this cycle. When it came to the rinse part of the cycle the motor stopped of a second and then the washer started to take on water(so no rinse) Now it is starting to sound like a timer or pressure switch problem?

I'm afraid I did not get it clear. Can you explain it more detailed please?

I'm not sure what part was unclear. On the casual cycle when the timer gets to where it should rinse, the motor stopped for a second then started agitating and the washer took on more water. The water never pumped out for the rinse cycle. As I look on the web for help with this washer I see a lot of complaints on it. Sounds like this unit is junk. This unit is less than 2 years old. Have you read the first post on my problem with this washer?

Per these descriptions, most likely, the problem is a bad timer, but there is a small chance for the motor to be bad as well. I would replace the timer first.

First I want to thank you for your time. Second would a bad timer cause a motor to overheat? What I have noticed is during the wash cycle on normal cycle the motor is pulling about 8 amps. When it get to the rinse cycle it pulls high amps then overheats fast. Just to help me understand the operation should the motor stop after the wash cycle before it starts the rinse cycle? I think it tries to go from wash to rinse right away is this possible? And the motor is reversed at this point as well to pump out the water correct?

The motor is reversible. It turns CCW for agitation and CW for drain and spin. The washer must drain and spin after the wash done prior to rinse and the motor should pause every time before changing the direction. If it does not do it, then the timer is bad. In such situation a bad timer can cause the motor to overheat.
