Washer Gearcase Problem - YouTube

Hi, does my transmission look shot? I called a repairman as my washer stopped spinning, i changed the motor as i was told it was burned, after 3 washes my washer is not working again, a friend took apart the transmission and told me it is the cause of the failure, i don't understand how the motor and transmission both failed a little after 1 year of use :(
