Washer stops with a click after short time of Agitation. Assume this is a thermal switch on the motor. Timer and lid Switch are functioning.
Motor "seems fine" (I pulled it to check) although I get a wif of electrical smoke just before it stops ( put back in washer - with the front panel removed).
Wait 10 - 20 minutes and unit will start again - if still in agitation mode - quits after less than 2 min.
- moving the timer to Spin - and it empties and spins then shuts off as normal - so assume timer is not the issue.
Water Pump and big wheel turn freely with belt removed.
Is there a way to diagnose the transmission? Thinking something is putted an excessive load on the motor during agitation.
