Model Number: GHW9150PW1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: Less than 1 year
I would like to know what voltage comes from the motor controller to the motor? Is it a DC voltage or AC voltage? I have checked the continuity of the motor and I get 6.2 ohms between each of the 3 legs and the motor turns free without the belt installed. I am getting a failure code F06 which means the motor tach is not signaling the control of sufficient speed. Is there a test procedure available for tis machine?

Measure the resistance between the pins 4 & 5 at the motor. If the reading is about 120 Ohms, replace the MCU. If the reading is incorrect, replace the motor.
- The MCU Part number: 8182706 - The motor Part number: 8182793 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Whirlpool GHW9150PW1 AUTOMATIC WASHER | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.

The resistance at the motor is 6.2 ohms on each of the three connections. This nearly exactly what the company said it needs to be.
What I need to know is what voltage is applied to the motor at various speeds. I feel like the motor controler is at fault. I have been told that there is a sheet inside the washer with instructions for trouble shooting the washer. I found where it was but it is gone. Where can I get another one of the sheets. Dave |

I did read it in your first post. There are five pins at the motor plug. You did measure resistance between the first three of them and I asked you to do the same test for the pins 4 & 5. Can you do it please? Gene.

I would recommend to replace the MCU board in such situation. The part number I posted earlier.
Gene.
