Hi...I need help if possible!
I have a maytag washer aprox 10-15 years old..Here is my story..My washer always worked great until today..I started a load of clothes on medium water level and walked away. A few mins later I heard water gushing. I went to washroom to find that the washer had overfilled so I immediately pushed the button in to stop water ( and it stopped ). The water level was above the tub and was draining from underneath. I tried to turn my cycle to drain and it wouldnt drain..Long story short I emptied all water from my washer ( after cleaning up the mess ) and tried it again, now I find that I can start the cycle and the water will fill but then will not advance thru any more cycles. I tried manually moving the button thru cycles and I get nothing..any suggestions?
Thank you in advance~ Erica

I have had a similar problem, my suggestion is easy. Remove the control panel and there will be a tube that should be attached to the back of the dial that you adjust for load size. Make sure that is attached and there are no air leaks or anything obstructing it. Good luck
