If you are saying that when you turn on a faucet not connected to the washer that water comes into the washer, then I am at a lost to explain that.

I would replace the valve in the washer.
Valves do use the water pressure to help them seal/close. By the sound of it your valve has a problem and when the pressure drops due to opening the other faucet the valve opens partially. |
