I need to replace the outer nob, as it cracked and broke while I was trying to remove dial. It will not budge and I need to get it out before ordering replacement part. Please help. Thanks.

Hi,

Not sure if you are asking about the outer part of knob or the skirting. If you are referring to the outer part of the knob it is a screw on component. The skirting behind the knob should just pull off after you remove the knob.

Thanks for the reply. I was finally able to remove it and fix it.
Now I have another problem. What started the whole thing is
that my washer was rattling and shaking badly. I took it apart and
removed the necklace. I replaced shocks. No help. Does not
appear to be any play in bearing. I lowered the leveling screws and
turned the leveling screws all the way in. The machine is level.
Do you think it would solve the problem to replace the springs?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dennis
