The washer is not draining. I have read the posts and pulled the pump (great videos on repair/replacement). It will turn with a 3/8 hand socket, it is not "freely" spinning on its own. Is this normal or should I replace it? I also checked the continuity on the lid switch and couldn't get a reading across the posts with the lid closed so that the switch should be in contact. Is the switch more likely the reason the tub won't drain and none of the spin cylces work on any of the wash settings (regular, delicate, etc.)? Thanks for the help....

Hi.
Most likely it's the lid switch. Provide the model number of the washer.
Simon.

Simon. Simon, I checked for model number on inside of lid, back of console, and bottom left side of washer like the video showed and found no model #. I put the lid switch part number in and have ordered it and the pump also. After 9 years I feel its just a safe bet to do both while the cabinet is off the frame. Thanks. Caleb
