I have an older Maytag SE7800 stacked laundry system (Maytag SE7800ADW) that I bought used and has been working fine.
The washer is still working but the dryer refuses to turn on. I can set the rotary dial to selected dry program but when I press the switch I can hear a ticking and a hum but the dryer doesn't engage.
I'm guessing the switch is maybe dead? (I can see a spark on the switch sometimes if I open the panel and press the switch -- I'm assuming that's not a good sign).
Do you think I just need to buy a new switch (you sell them right)? Or is there something else that would give those symptoms (I saw mention of a fuse for another model?)

machine is definitely getting power and is hooked up OK as it was working fine up until yesterday.

Thanks
