Washer fills but does nothing after that. Hear a humming noise and slight burnt smell. Took cover off. The motor, trany, agitator and pump turn by hand. How can I tell whats bad?

When you turn motor by hand everything else turn with it so I would think the coupler is ok. Im thinking maybe its the start capacitor?
