The agitator barely works - clothes spins fine. I think I need an agitator repair kit but I don't know how to remove the agitator.

Click on your model number and you will see an exploded diagram of your machine.

To remove the agitator pull of the cap which will expose a 7/16" bolt. Take it out and the top will come off. You can then lift the agitator off.
