Model Number: LSC8244DQO Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Machine fills & washes normally then the timer will stop & not go into the drain / spin cycle unless you manually move it there. This occurrs in any of the cycle settings around the dial. Is the problem the timer? or some other sensor.

If the motor will not run, either you have a bad timer, or bad lid switch. If the lid switch clicks when the lid is closed, remove the timer cover and check for burnt contacts. If so, replace the timer.
