My washer will fill up with water and then stop. It makes no noises. If you bang on the side of it, it will eventually kick in to next cycle and finish. Could this be the lid switch or timer gone bad?

Hi. First check the lid switch. You can install a temporary jumper wire between GY and W at the lid switch. If the washer starts - replace the lid switch Part number: 8318084
If not check the water level switch contacts V - T should be closed (with water inside). Use the multimeter to do the continuity test. The water level Part number: W10339326

I replaced the lid switch and it is doing better. The washer will fill up and now your have push the dial in on the timer, advance the arrow just a little and pull the dial back out and the machine will start. Should I go ahead and replace the water level switch? Thanks very much for the advice.

Hi. It sounds like the timer is acting up. Did you run the lid switch and the water level tests as I suggested? You would know for sure if the parts need replacement. The timer Part number: 8557301
