Washer has broke washer tube dampening strap on the vent/overflow tube side, will this cause water to drain out of tube during washer cycle.

Hi.

Check if the water doesn't leak out on the small and medium size level. If it's not - then most likely the transmission is spinning and agitating at the same time and need to be replaced.

The transmission Part number: WH38X10002

The dampening strap Part number: WH1X2727

filled tub on all 3 water levels(extra small, medium, extra large)ran thru permanent press on all 3 water levels all the way thru, tub did not spin(swished back & forth), surprisingly didn't leak anywhere . So if I can get away with just replacing the dampening straps I'm gonna be estatic . Know, the first time I ran it on the extra small water level the tub acted like it wanted to spin(could this be from it setting up for several months?)but I pushed down on the agitator & it stopped and went to swishing & never tried spinning until spin cycle, Hoping for the best, it's gonna be a b'day present for my step daughter.
