Model Number: wsm2700wewww Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
I havea GE model WSM2700WEWWW washer that does not spin during spin cycle. Checked thebelt it works; adler arm works during agitation but not during spin cycle &water does pump out the water but does not work to spin the clothes. Also, whatever the silver wheel is behind the adler arm, it is spinning during the spin cycle causing rubbing of the belt but there is not enough tension on the adler arm to move the belt.

Hi.
Does the drain pump drains the water completely? Does the motor runs in the spin cycle? Can you manually turn the transmission pulley in the spin direction? Thank you. Simon.

Yes, it does pump does drain out the water completely. Motor does run during the spin cycle. Not sure how to manually turn the transmission pully; but, the little silver wheel to the right and behind the adler arm does spin rubbing against the belt causing a burning smell during the spin cycle only.

Hi, Nancy.
The transmission is designed to agitate in the wash cycle and spin in the spin cycle. If it's agitates it doesn't necessary means it's good. Simon.

Hi, Nancy.
Tell me, please is the transmission pulley (large silver wheel) turns when the motor runs in the spin cycle? Can you rotate it by hand? Simon.

Is that the wheel that is on the left side or right side of the adler arm? Because the large black wheel on the left side doesn't spin but the silver wheel to the right side does spin.

Carefully push the idler pulley arm to increase the belt tension.
Does the transmission pulley start spinning (large black one)? Simon.
