Maytag front loader just quit, was working perfectly, door is locked will not release, unplugged multiple times. Changed cycle, still no good, HELP>

Take off the lower service panel and reach up on the right hand side. On the door lock mechanism you will find a tab which you can pull (gently) and release the door.

Start it up again and see if it works okay, otherwise use the tech notes inside the panel or under the top to do some testing.

Trying to run diagnostics, door locks, Water runs cold first, hot second, when it gets to drum rotation for 30 seconds neither test works, gets to drain and seems to stick there, will drain water but will not go on to last test of spinning out.

Replaced control unit, same thing.

Thinking motor control board bad. Any ideas, does not show any trouble codes in test mode.

On these models it is usually one of the boards or the door lock mechanism that causes the problem you are having.

Unfortunately about the only way to diagnose it is to replace the parts. Fortunately if you buy from this site (no those of us who reply are not associated with the company) and you don't need the part you can return it.
