Talking Frigidaire washer E6E error
Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

I have a Frigidaie front load wsher model GLTF2940ES2.

When you try to start the washer and you press the start button, it stays lit for a second and then flashes. It hums. If you are persistent and keep pressing the flashing start button, sometimes you can get it to add water, turn the drum a few times and then stop.
I ran the diagnostics and the error code is E6E. Of course, that is not one listed in the tech data sheet..

When the washer was literally 1 year and 2 weeks, it stopped working. We called Frigidaire and they agreed to pay parts but we had to pay labor. The technician from the store we bought it from came out and said it was the control panel, ordered a new one, replaced it and then had to order the other controller....

Is it even possible that the controller failed again? It is only 2 years old now (since they were replaced).

How do I determine that it is not the door sensor?
Thanks for your help!

It sounds like the communication problem. Per the manufacturer recommendations (very inaccurate) you have to check the wires between the main and speed control boards. If there is nothing wrong, the main control board should be replaced first.

- The main control board Part number: 137006000

Part number: 137006000

- The motor speed control board Part number: 134743500

Part number: 134743500
