The agitator doesn't move back and forth fast enough after the washer fills up and begins to wash. If I turn the washer off and on a few times, it speeds up. This also happens when the washer is getting rid of the water in the spin cycle. It starts spinning slowly, but if I turn it off and on a few times very quickly, it speeds way up. I know doing this is not good for the machine at all, but I am wondering why it starts out slow, and speeds up to where it should be after I turn it off and on several times. I mostly want it to reach full speed on the last spin cycle so the clothes are not soaking wet before putting in the dryer, as this is somewhat similar to an extracter at a laundry mat. If its a very expensive fix, I guess I will just live with it for now. :)

Very likely the problem is a bad timer because the timer controls the motor speed.
