I've looked online to find the source of my white linty film.
1) i don't overload the washer
2) i don't use powder detergent
3) the water isn't too cold
4) the film does mostly come off in the dryer (but not all of my clothes should be put in the dryer)
5) the tub won't stay centered during agitation
6) i have washed bath mats in the past that have rubber backings that were dry-rotted so there were lots of pop-corn thingies to wipe out of basket in the washer. so i wonder in the back of my mind if something is clogged that keeps lint and normal laundry refuse in the tub instead of being rinsed down the drain.

Remove thew front panel, the drain hoses and the drain pump. Make sure they all are clean. You can find the disassemble instructions in the Service manual (page 27). In order to download the manual you have to register there.
