washer control lock
Model Number: GHW9100LW1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
control locked. put in new pump today. washed 2 loads all was fine. now locked. unpluged for several times will not reset. what's next?

Is the control locked or just not accepting selections? Normally you'd just have to hold the lock button for a few seconds until it turns off. If it's just beeping at you with no lights or anything you may have a bad motor control board. If you remove the lower panel there is some literature on diagnostic mode. Although it was misprinted on this model and the fault code it will give you is probably wrong in the tech sheet.. helpful huh? But if you can get it into diagnostics but it won't do anything after that, it's most likely the motor control board.. hope this helps
