Hi, I have a problem with a Maytag Centennial washer model #MVWC300VW1 that was purchased in November 2010. The washer will stop after filling up with water. It won't spin and won't empty out the water. There is a small but audible and sustaining humming sound when I tried to get it to spin. It's like the motor is trying to work, but it can't.

The lid switch shows continuity on the multimeter, but I replaced it anyway. I also checked the motor coupling, but it looks fine.

Any help is appreciated!

You possibly have a plugged/damaged pump.
