Model Number: 110.28902790 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
I have Kenmore series 90 Model 110.289902790 Washer. I turned the washer on, water came in and washer started agitating. When wash was complete, the timer did not advance to start rinse. I manually advanced the timer to rinse and pulled out on the switch. The washer stated in rinse after short time washer stopped water did not drain, I waited for about 15 minutes, the timer did not advance and water did not drain. While water was in the washer, I manually advanced the timer to spin and pulled out on the switch but nothing happened. Then I siphoned the water out from the washer and again advanced the timer a little to spin, the washer did not spin. What is wrong with my washer, is it something wrong with pump, with the timer or some other part? Please help.

Hi.
First check the lid switch. Open the control panel, unplug the 3 wire plug and with the lid closed check continuity between outside wires. If the lid switch is "open" - replace it. If the switch is good - replace the timer. The lid switch Part number: 3949238 The timer Part number: 3951769 Use the video clip for the installation instructions. Thank you. Post the results. Simon.

Simon,
Very many thanks. As suggested, I checked the lid switch with lid closed, it was open. Then I tried bypassing the lid switch by a shunt wire, the washer started in spin. i am going to order lid switch. Pyara |
