I just replaced the Drive coupling on my machine and when I went to use the machine, I smelled a burning smell. I shut the washer off. I had someone look at it, and it appeared that the water pump seal was leaking. Could this have been what caused the burning smell, and do I need to replace the pump or can I buy a replacement seal for it? Does this sound like I have pin pointed the problem?

Hi,

A leaking pump would not cause a burning smell. The pump will need to be replaced to repair the leak.
