Hi guys
I've had a problem with this washer for a while now and need some advice. It fills with water and then stops when the water level is reached, then does nothing after that.
I have checked the lid switch for continuity and its fine. I have pulled the cabinet off and removed the motor to check the drive coupling. The three posts on each piece are intact and the rubber disc between them seems fine also with no rips or tears. I don't see any signs of wear in the coupling (yes even after a dozen years or so).
I am wondering if the timer could be the problem. With the washer plugged in, the timer turns on its own and I can hear the motor hum so would this also rule out the timer? As I said, the motor hums so I think I could rule out the motor also? Is it possible the coupling is bad even though the posts are intact and the rubber disc seems to be fine also?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
