Washer initial problem would go thru washing cycle, get to rinse / spin and would not spin / drain water out of machine. Machine would stop, though light would be on for spin cycle, nothing happened. Checked machine and cleaned, belt hoses etc all good. Was told it was the drain pump, we replaced from pump (AP3160348) which we ordered from your site. Installed new pump, machine filled, agitated got to rinse / spin, same problem would not drain water. Re-checked everything, emptied machine and started again, only now it fills with water, stops on wash, minutes lit up, but no agitation or move on to rinse cycle.... Can you explain what the problem could be, my son is very frustrated that he cannot get this machine working again. thanks.

I think you may have received bad information that the pump was the problem. On this model the pump is an electric one and is driven independently of the drive mechanism. Since it would not spin and pump this suggests a problem with the control unit.

I would try replacing the control unit, and if that fixes things put in the old pump and if it works send back the new one for a refund.
