My washer errors out shortly after starting the wash cycle. I have replaced the cold water inlet valve, cleaned out the drain filter, and searched for broken wires or bad connections. The add garment light never goes off before the error occurs. It does this in every cycle and temp, however if I use hot only the water never stops filling. I can't afford to call a repairman, HELP!

The washer stopped during a wash and gave the error F8E1 according to my user manual. I understood it to mean low water flow. After several attempts to reset my unplugging and replugging i fuigured the cold water inlet valve had gone bad, I have had washer with this problem before due to small gravel particals that get through my whole house filter, so I orderred and changed the part.

Yes it seems to be filling and stopping as it is suppose to.
