The washer will not drain. Everything else seems to work. Being old, maybe it's time for a new washer. However, after researching the web the culprit maybe the lid switch? Without buying a new one and wasting money, is there a way to bypass this switch...jump it perhaps to see if the washer will drain. Can the switch be tested off the washer and how? Trying to save my daughter some money here. Also, some say it could be the pump. This washer id direct drive so there's no belt. How can I tell if the pump is bad?
