The softener in the dispenser is not being flushed/released into the wash.
When the wash is finished, the softener solution is still in the dispenser.
Don't know yet if the same is happening to the bleach dispenser. The
detergent dispenser is fine. I did the obvious right-off - cleaned the
dispenser, but that didn't fix it. I contacted Frigidaire and they said
the water output above dispenser may be clogged and to brush clean it out
with hot water; I did and it didn't fix the problem either. This is a
front-load gallery series model GLTF1040AS0. What/were to check?

If you are certain there is nothing obstructing the flow, then I would suggest you replace the solenoid assembly. Here is the part Part number: AP2107946
Should be an easy and inexpensive fix
