Maytag top-load washer does not fill
Model Number: LAT9605AAE Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
Our old Maytag top-loader suddenly won't fill with water (neither hot nor cold). It does spin, etc. Is there a sensor which can inhibit filling ?

You have three possible suspects, the timer, the water level switch and the valve assembly.
Use a meter to see if voltage is getting to the valve assembly when the timer calls for water. If so, replace the valve assembly. Otherwise you have your choice of the timer or water level switch. You will have to try replacing each. If you buy the parts from this site and you don't need them you can return them.
