Maytag Spins, Fills, No Agitation LAT9800AAL
Model Number: LAT9800AAL Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
I have an older Maytag washer, model LAT9800AAL, that fills with water, then stops. Moving the control to a spin portion of a cycle results in the washer spinning and removing the water. No agitation on any setting, the timer does not move when on the agitation portion of any cycle, no hum or sound, just nothing. Suggestions?

Hi.
Open the control panel and check the water level switch. With tub full you should have continuity between contacts 7 and 16. Then check the timer contacts 3A-16J, 21-32, 22-9 closed in agitation.
