Default Maytag Neptune washer
Model Number: MLE2000AYW   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

The washer will fill with water but then shuts off (light goes out). Will not agitate or spin. Control knob can be advanced and water is pumped out. Door lock works (wax motor lock was replaced in '06 along w/ the control board). Had repairman out and he guessed it was the control board, but I see no burned parts on board. I see no burned parts on motor control board either. I heard a loud pop or crack when it went out but I see nothing that would have caused it. Any ideas?

Hi, did you check the 10 amp fuse on the lower motor control board? You mentioned you looked for burnt components but not a open fuse... This motor and motor control board combo has a high failure rate and was involved in the Maytag class action suit a couple of years ago. Maytag redesigned the motor and motor control board so you have to replace both if either fails. This 12002039 motor conversion kit will set you back $195 or so and takes around an hour to install. More than likely if you heard a pop it was the output transistors on the motor control board letting loose. In addition, make sure your door latch wax motor that was replaced has the black actuator pin. I know some folks who had the w.m. replaced a couple of years ago with the defective one (with the brown actuator pin) and thought they were immune from the Q6 / R11 failure on the upper machine control board but they lost another control board... See #1 MAYTAG NEPTUNE WASHER R11 Q6 REPAIR KIT + WAX MOTORtm for other important Neptune issues to be aware of.

Don't forget that the motor conversion kit is covered by Maytag for 10 years...

Default neptune mah3000aaw door lock and main board

We are in Australia and need help to repair our neptune front load washer.Maytag Australia will not admit that there is a problem with this model due to the door lock motor failing causing the main board to fail . Is it posible to get parts and advice/help from you to us in Australia. If so what do we need to do next.I am able to do carry out the repairs myself if I can get the parts.Thank you in advance Grub.
