I get a "s or 5 d" on the screen of the Kenmore washer and it wont drain Makes noise and starts to spin once or twice but thats about it, Thath's when it shuts off and that "5 or s d" appears

Hi.

Take off the toe panel and remove the filter from the drain pump. Be ready for a couple of gallons of water (best if you have a shop vac). Clean the filter, the pump, the drain hose.
Make sure the pump is running. Use rinse cycle without any detergents.
You will find the tech sheet attached to the right side of the cabinet at the bottom(hopefully).

Whoever told me to clean the drain filter on my Kenmore washer was right on the money! Saved me quite a bit. You are back on my Christmas list!!!! Thanks Damnned thing was soo clogged it's a wonder anything could get through...Nick
